Condition
The painting is in good condition. The canvas is clear, taut and in good condition. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals scattered spots of retouching in general, which are apparent only with UV light. There are minor surface cracks and craquelures on the painting, but the paint layers are stable and in good condition considering the painting's age.
The colours of the actual painting are slightly less red-toned than the catalogue illustration.
