Set in the center with an oval sapphire weighing 5.48 carats, framed by round and single-cut diamonds weighing 5.44 carats, size 6, signed Buccellati, Italy
Condition
In good condition with overall surface wear. Set with 106 round and single-cut diamonds, approximately G-H color, VS clarity The sapphire is deep violetesh blue of moderate saturation, eye clean and lively, with some surface abrasions due to wear and color zoning visible under magnification. One side of the inner sizing spring band has become detached, but this does not affect the wearability of the ring. According to an appraisal provided by Buccellati in 1984, the ring listed as stock number 13826 has retail replacement value of $65,000 and contains 1 Ceylon sapphire weighing 5.48 carats and 106 round diamonds weighing 5.44 carats.
