Fine Pair of emerald and diamond pendent ear clips, Van Cleef & Arpels, 1970

Description

Each surmount designed as a cluster of marquise-shaped diamonds, suspending a detachable pear-shaped emerald drop weighing 11.58 and 12.21 carats respectively, embellished with circular-cut and pear-shaped stones, mounted in yellow gold and platinum, signed Van Cleef & Arpels and numbered.

Condition

Surmounts stamped PT950 for platinum, both clip backs signed Van Cleef & Arpels N.Y. and numbered 41118., stamped 12.22 and 11.85, referring to the weight of the emeralds. For further information, please refer to the Gübelin report. Emeralds good colour saturation with typical crystal inclusions (some reaching surface), a few minor nicks. Total diamond weight stated to be approximately 19.21 carats, generally G-H colour, VS clarity. Normal signs of wear to the metal. In good condition.
