Pair of sapphire and diamond earrings

Description

Each suspending a pear-shaped sapphire weighing respectively 7.42 and 7.85 carats, to a border and surmount set with brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in yellow gold and platinum.

Condition

Stamped Pt 950 for platinum and 750 for gold. Accompanied by CCIP report no. A43.248, dated March, 25th 1998 stating that the 7.42 carat sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no evidence of heat treatment and by CCIP report no. A42.481, dated October, 8th 1997, stating the sapphire is of Burmese origin. Together with a letter from the CCIP stating that the latter has no evidence of heat treatment. The sapphires with good colour saturation, some typical crystal inclusions. Total diamond weight stated to be approximately 5.20 carats, generally G-I colour, VS-SI clarity. In good condition.
