Aquamarine and diamond pendant , circa 1905

Description

The cushion-shaped aquamarine to a floral and foliate wreath set with rose-cut diamonds, suspended from a later associated white gold chain, length approximately 600mm, part illustrated.

Condition

Pendant tested as gold and platinum. Chain stamped 750 for gold, gross weight 34 grams. Aquamarine estimated to weigh approximately 36.60 carats, gauged in mounting, medium colour saturation with good lustre, clean to the naked eye, a few minor nicks to facet junctions. Diamonds bright and lively. Thread holes at the back. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches and minor tarnish consistent with age. In good condition.
