Pair of emerald and diamond fish brooches, René Boivin, circa 1980

Description

Each designed as a fish, the face, pavé-set with single- and brilliant-cut diamonds, accented with a cabochon emerald eye, the scales decorated with circular- and brilliant-cut diamonds of various tints, the fin with baguette stones, to the diamond set articulated tail, mounted in yellow gold, French assay and maker's marks.

Condition

Each brooch stamped with French assay marks and 750 for gold and maker's marks for René Boivin. Total diamond weight on each fish estimated to weigh approximately 10.00 carats with mixed colour and clarity, gauged in mount. Please note that the diamonds decorating the scales have not been tested for natural colour. Emeralds opaque with typical crystal inclusions visible to the eye. Signs of wear to the metal, scratches consistent with wear. In good condition.
