Condition

This picture is painted on one of Torres-Garica's typical paper board which in turn has been mounted onto masonite and supported with a wooden structure on the reverse. The painting appears to be clean although there may be a dirt layer still underneath the varnish. There are no retouches visible under ultraviolet light except for a spot on the upper edge in the center sky, another on the upper right edge also in the sky, and a small amount of frame abrasion in the lower center on the edge. In the deep red color in the lower right there are three other diagonal retouches. The paint layer is stable and as has been said, it may be worth investigating whether the picture is properly cleaned, however the painting can also be hung as is.
