- AGATE AND GOLD
Depicting a lion passant within a frame chased with foliate and scroll motifs, hinged pendant fitting.
Condition
Stamped with Dutch import mark 'V' on pin indicating import fee had been paid. Heavy brooch weighing approximately 107 grams. Lion cream with slight orange/pink overtones. Background very light slightly grayish blue semi-translucent, many hairline cracks visible to naked eye, small chip out of reverse right not noticeable from front. Pin and pendant fittings, pin slightly bent. Frame with indentations to sides, slightly bent in places and engravings brushed consistent with age and wear. Traces of lead solder to seams of mount not visible when worn. In good condition.
