Catalogue Note
John Donald is an innovative British jewellery designer and was particularly prolific in the 1960s. He studied illustration at Farnham School of Art and later Silver & Jewellery at The Royal College of Art, London. His contemporary designs included more fluid jewels with movement and often were essentially organic in form. He would often combine gold wire work with precious stones and natural crystals.
