- GOLD, ROCK CRYSTAL, DIAMOND AND RUBY
Comprising: a circular rock crystal pendant with a painted reverse intaglio depicting a golden pheasant, within a gold rope work frame, circa 1860; together with a textured brooch designed as a cockrel, its eye a cabochon ruby and its beak highlighted with single-cut diamonds, signed Boucheron Paris and numbered, French assay and maker's marks, 1950s.

Reverse intaglio: Scratches to rock crystal and nicks. Possible losses to paintwork in small areas upon close inspection with magnification. Backing and pendant loop with scratches consistent with age and wear. Pendant fitting possibly later added.
Brooch: Stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Numbered 16526 to reverse of pin fitting. Diamonds bright, cabochon ruby eye with surface reaching fractures. Scratches consistent with age and wear, tarnished, could benefit from a careful professional clean. Sliding safety catch stiff. Both jewels in good condition.
