Condition
The canvas is not lined and there are no signs of retouching visible under UV light. There are tiny tackholes to all four corners with associated paint loss and a spot of paint loss towards to centre of the right edge. Apart from three small specs of surface dirt, possibly glue residue, around the 'IR' in the newspaper on the table, some minor craquelure to the area of white pigment and a thin line of gold residue due to previous framing to the centre of the upper edge (not visible when framed), this work is in very good condition.
Colours: The colours are brighter, richer and stronger in the original, particularly the green background and the orange-brown of the table.
