Condition
The canvas is strip-lined and is reinforced with a thin layer of Japanese tissue paper. There is 2 by 3cm. canvas patch inserted just above the right figure's head with associated retouching. There is a thin 10cm. L-shaped line of retouching in the lower right quadrant, a small area of retouching above the teapot, both probably due to small repaired tears, and some scattered spots of retouching in the upper left quadrant. There are some minor areas of retouching to the extreme edges, probably due to previous mounting, and four pinhead-sized spots of retouching in the lower half. All retouching is visible under UV light. Apart from some light craquelure, this work is in overall good condition.
Colours: Overall fairly accurate, although the colours are brighter and the yellows in the sofa are stronger.
