Condition

Executed on dark toned wove paper laid down on card. There is a flattened crease running vertically down the centre of the work and a few further minor creases to the paper with associated loss to the medium. All creases have been flattened as the paper was laid down. There is a 6cm. repaired tear to the upper left edge and two further 3cm. minor repaired tears to the centre of the lower edge, two 2 cm. repaired tears to the upper right corner, one with associated retouching, and a minor 1.5 cm. tear towards the centre of the upper edge. All tears are to the paper layer only and are visible in the catalogue illustration. Apart from some minor nicks to the extreme lower left edge and a line of light rubbing to the medium along the lower edge, both probably due to previous mounting, this work is in good condition. Colours: Overall fairly accurate, although the green is much more vibrant and richer in the original.
