Condition
The canvas is not lined. There are two 2cm. fine lines of retouching to the extreme upper left edge and some minor specks of retouching to the extreme upper right edge. All retouching is visible under UV light. Apart from some light craquelure with an associated pinhead-sized spot of paint loss towards the centre of the work and some minor paint shrinkage, mainly to the lower right quadrant and a stretcher mark running vertical to the centre, this work is in good condition.
Colours: The colours are overall less red and the tones are stronger and more subtle in the original.
