- A FINE GOLD AND ENAMEL OPEN FACE WATCH MADE FOR THE TURKISH MARKET CIRCA 1830
- diameter 35 mm
• gilt full plate verge movement, pierced and engraved balance bridge, gilt dial for regulator with Turkish numerals, gold cuvette numbered • white enamel dial, Turkish numerals • case fully decorated with polychrome enamel, depicting on the back a painted scene with a trophy en grisaille • dial and cuvette signed
Condition
Movement not running while cataloguing, a service is recommended for it to be fully operational. Cuvette signed Leroi and numbered 4435. Enamel with small missing parts to the bezel. Case back with a painted enamel scene, scratches on the surface, signs of wear and tiny chip to the side. The band with signs of wear due to aging. Dial in good condition, a tiny chip on the side. Overall, this is a very good example of an enamel watch made for the Turkish market.
