  • diameter 52 mm
• gilt verge movement, tulip pillars, winged balance cock pierced and engraved with foliate scrolls • later white enamel dial, Roman numerals • plain inner case with casemakers mark S.G. and London hallmarks for 1695, the later outer case repoussé with pastoral setting inhabited by a shepherd and a shepherdess framed by borders chased with scrolls and swags • movement signed

Condition

It is currently fully wound and not running, but will probably run if cleaned. It is lacking a minute hand, and has a replaced hour hand. The dial and outer case are circa 1720. The dial appears to be of good quality with only surface wear, minor scuffing and wear due to age. The case is also of high quality, although with modest rubbing to the figures. The inner case with dents and now lacking shutter for winding hole.
