• gilt verge movement • white enamel dial, Arabic numerals • case finely painted with polychrome enamel scene of a love garden inhabited by a couple and three sheep near a seed pearl and paste-set fountain, the background painted with an architectural landscape, bezels and band with enameled geometric motif • dial and movement signed
Condition
The overall appearance of the present lot is in remarkably good condition. The back panel enamel is a well preserved example. The movement is complete and should run following service but is currently fully wound. The minute hand is discolored and bent. The dial is in good condition. There are minor losses to enamel on band and the pendant is crisply stamped 11997, which corresponds to the movement number and a casemaker initials JAB.
