Condition

In very well preserved condition. The movement is running, however it may require service soon. The dial is very clean with no visible imperfections. The case is in very nice condition, with crisp gold marks and some very slight knife marks on the profile. The money clip and fob similarly appear have been used much at all. The Patek Philippe boxes for the watch and key fob are black and the box for the money clip is gray suede. The booklet is unusual and in a horizontally oriented rectangle and was perhaps done specifically for the Beyer Zurich store. Further accompanied by a Beyer pouch. The Certificate of Origin has the correct movement number printed, and handwritten in pencil is the number 600753, which is not the case number for this watch. The key fob is numbered 9602-4009 and the money clip is numbered 9603-11970 W/CERTIFICATE OF IDENTITY/GUARANTEE OF ORIGIN, BOOKLET IN PLASTIC FOLDER, 2 WATCH POUCHES, BOX & OUTER PACKAGING

Catalogue Note

The now-iconic Ellipse line was introduced in 1968. The firm continues to have great success with this instantly recognizable form, the proportions of which are based on an ancient mathematical ratio called the Golden Section.
