Condition
Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 35 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout, which is a reasonable number in proportion to the vast number of glass tiles which were required to execute this complex and monumental shade. The shade leading is beautifully rendered with fine lines and retains a rich russet brown and green patina. The base is in excellent condition, showing very minimal gentle rubbing to the rich green patina. All of the base hardware, sockets, and switches appear to be original and undisturbed. The period finial with some light rubbing to the patina consistent with age and gentle use. A beautiful example of this iconic model, displaying an exceptionally artistic glass selection with a fully saturated color palette and a deep range of brilliant blue background glass accented with amethyst. The lamp displays beautifully in person and is the strongest example of the model we have seen appear on the auction market in recent years.
