the shallow bowl of the tazza centered on a multicolored flowerhead set against a cream and black ground decorated with applied wires, surrounded by a band of trailing foliage in muted tones of blue, green, and olive relieved by two red and white tulips against a pale green ground, the border in black with brightly colored floral and geometric ornament in plique-à-jour, the circular foot with conforming decoration against a pale blue ground and with both sawn and plique-à-jour panels
