Condition
Both copper plates are in good state.
Birth of Virgin: the paint surface is generally very well retained with excellent detail and lovely coloration. some slight lifting can be seen at the upper right corner on curtain and also a small area to the left of the kneeling woman at lower left. these areas look stable at the moment, but should be attended to. ultraviolet light reveals some reinforcement of the drapery folds just above the feet of standing woman at far right side, and a few dots of repaint near upper edge.
Marriage of Virgin: paint surface is very well retained with lovely detail and coloration. ultraviolet light reveals a few small dots of repaint along bottom edge, one on robe of Joseph, and a small retouch at upper left edge.
In carved and gilt frames with some minor nicks.
