Condition

The painting has been relined. There are scattered retouches applied throughout the painting, which have been applied well. The seated man has been left mostly as-is in comparison with the entirety of the composition. There remains some older varnish as seen under UV. The retouches are applied well when viewed under the naked eye and the painting may be hung as is. In a carved and giltwood frame.
