Condition
The panel, made from a single piece of wood, is uncradled, and beveled on three sides. Under UV, the painting seems to fluoresce in two distinct ways. There are normal retouches scattered throughout the hands, parts of the sitters drapery, and in the background. These appear to be applied well and are not overly visible to the naked eye. There are also lighter areas of fluorescence, which could possibly be a varnish which was applied unevenly. This is visible under UV along the head, as well as in an area in the bottom left corner. Additionally, to the left of the monogram in upper right corner, is a small circle of overpaint. This is also visible to the naked eye as the paint is slightly raised from the panel. In a carved and painted wood frame.
