Condition
The old glue relining is firm and stable. the paint surface has been very well preserved and there is overall very good retention of detail. only some slight thinness can be seen in the right side of hair and on her ear. otherwise, flesh tones and costume are quite well retained. examination under ultraviolet shows just a few minor cosmetic retouches to face, neck , chest and background. some older retouching can be seen in hair, mostly at right side. overall painting looks good, with very little in the way of restoration.
In an elaborately carved and gilt rectangular wood frame with some nicks and areas where a few small pieces have broken off.
