of rectangular form, with divided plates within giltwood foliate carved borders applied with geometric shaped bevelled glass reserves enclosing blue glass flowerheads
Condition
In overall good original condition. Colour of gilding slightly darker and more attractive than in catalogue photograph. There is some surface dirt which can easily be cleaned off. There are old minor marks, chips and scratches, commensurate with age. There is a minor chip to the top right corner of the glass border, which is hardly noticeable. There are some very minor chips to the glass geometric motifs which are hardly noticeable. Some of the glass stamens in the centre of the blue flowerheads are possibly replacements, but this is hardly noticeable. There is a very small approx 2cm. long piece of glass missing along the border of the lower left side, as visible from the photograph. Old very minor repair to inner giltwood border, leaving a small piece missing, but this is hardly noticeable and has been well executed. Very attractive detail to carving of frame.
