This work appears to be in very good condition. It has been lined, and UV inspection reveals small touch ups on the mountain, as well as along the upper edge.

Catalogue Note

George Horne Russell was one of the artists commissioned by the Canadian Pacific Railway to paint scenes of the west in order to attract tourists and settlers. This may have been one of the commissioned works. Russell was a proficient painter, and this is a particularly good example of his work.
