This work has been viewed under UV and it is in fair condition. Two areas that have been touched up appear in the snow in the foreground. On the reverse there is a patch. There are also two oil spots on the reverse. The canvas is very heavy and although the painting is unlined, there is a problem with craquelure throughout, and an area of paint loss and lifting paint in the upper left area of trees above the piled logs.
