Catalogue Note
According to Gorham's archives Salad Bowl EFZ was completed on 26 March 1914 and had a net factory price of $138,75. The bowl was raised by silversmiths James Leckenby and Edward Zior Jr. in twenty-eight hours. The chasing, which required an additional forty-four fours, was accomplished by George W. Sauthof, one of Gorham's most prolific and highly paid chasers.
