the globular body embossed and chased with Chinese figures on river boats and gathered around tables in pavilions, one side with a strapwork cartouche engraved AMOY STAKES CUP 1 1/2 Miles Eon by THISTLE 1899, the handles modeled as serpentine dragons, all supported on three dolphins with open-mouth dragon heads above a large knop chased with chrysanthemums against a matted ground, the stepped dome foot with conforming chased band, the domed cover chased to match and with tall pagoda finial hung with bells, gilt interior
