  • oak with wrought-iron hardware, original mirrored glass and original chains

Condition

Overall in very good condition. The wood surfaces throughout appear to retain their original finish, with very minimal wear, and with a small minor surface bruise to the interior top left corner around the mirror. The upper and lower right corners of the oak backboard with splinters and associated separations to the wood around the corner screw supports, and with some scattered irregular surface indentations which appear to be inherent imperfections in the wood. The wrought iron candle sconces with light wear and surface discoloration consistent with age and gentle use. With the original silvered glass mirror, which has losses to the silvering in the upper right corner and lower right border (as seen in the catalogue illustration). With the original wrought iron hanging chains (one chain slightly longer than the other). A superb example of this rare uncatalogued design displaying well-balanced proportions and strong rich color and figuring to the oak. The mirror presents beautifully when installed.
