Condition

Overall in very good condition. The oak surfaces throughout appear to retain their original finish, with some occasional light surface scratches, abrasions, and edge wear consistent with age and use. There is a separation to the top planking, with a small gap between the boards, and the front board is lifting slightly. The top with what appears to be a small old re-set surface chip to the proper right rear side edge (3/4 x 1/2 inch). With a minor separation to the planking on the bottom shelf. The hand-wrought copper escutcheon plate with gentle wear and rubbing to the patina. The interior is in very good condition, with a few very minor surface stains to the interior of the fall lid. With replaced key. A very charming piece displaying great form and an exceptionally deep rich dark finish.
