Description

the otherwise plain body engraved with a coat-of-arms, helm, crest and scrolling foliate mantling, the flat hinged lid with bifurcated thumbpiece, the scroll handle pricked with scrolls enclosing the initials H AM above the date 1663

Condition

Fully marked on body and cover, the marks on the cover somewhat worn. There is evidence of repair to the lid in the area of the thumbpiece, which has affected the patina, overall condition quite good. For further queries please contact the Silver Department directly on +44(0)207.293.5100.
