- 209cm. high, 108cm. wide, 57cm. deep; 6ft. 10¼in., 3ft. 6½in., 1ft. 10½in.
in the manner of Thomas Chippendale, the top incorporating a late 17th century Flemish walnut, snakewood and ebonised and rosewood cabinet, fitted with a pair of cupboard doors enclosing two drawers, two sliding pigeonholes each concealing two secret drawers, now containing various books, fifteen various drawers, two further cupboards and a secret drawer containing four small drawers, with a secretaire compartment below containing a cupboard, eight drawers and pigeonholes, with two drawers below
Condition
Overall good condition. Some old marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Some losses to fret work carving on the top left hand side. The moulding on the left hand side is cracked and chipped. Right hand side return edge cracked. The lock rebate on the left hand door is chipped. Interior to secretaire stained and scratched. Old marks and scratches throughout consistent with age and use. Minor chips and losses to mouldings. Excellent colour and condition.
