Condition

With scattered age and construction cracks. A few restored breaks; only visible on reverse. Scattered small losses to gesso. Some minor old worm damage. Regilt, gilding now with losses, rubbing and surface dirt. Some inlaid mirror plaques with cracks but in generally good condition. Mirror plate with foxing. In good condition.

An identical mirror originally from the collection Bernhard Freiherr von Hornstein (1761-1848), Imperial and Royal Chamberlain and Royal Bavarian Secret Counselor was sold Sotheby's Amsterdam, Crowns and Coronets, August 31, 2005, lot 663.
