of oval form, the turquoise sides molded with two elaborate strapwork cartouches enclosing scenes of hounds attacking a boar, the ends with stag's head-handles, the cover with a boar's head-knop centered by a border of running oak leaves and acorns, impressed crescent mark and indistinct painted shape number on a reserve.

Condition

There is a small chip to the boar's right ear, and a tiny flake to the glaze near the rim. The tureen has a tiny chip to the glaze at one handle. The tureen and cover are in generally good condition.
