the domed cover vigorously carved with three five-clawed dragons with outstretched claws ferociously contesting a 'flaming pearl' against a ground of tumultuous waves and fire scrolls, the box similarly decorated with a pair of five-clawed dragons confronting each other on ground of tumultuous waves and fire scrolls, the interior lacquered black (2)

Condition

The box and cover have had some repainting to the red lacquer with minor cracks on the carving, barely visible. One small area of the rim on the box appears to have been bruised resulting in a network of small cracks emitting downward. In otherwise good condition.
