Description

the short flared foot rising to the ovoid body, the outward-turned  spout below the square overstrung handle, painted to each side with a qilin in a fenced garden, in a misty mountainous landscape, below a band of scrolling flowers at the shoulder, with a band to the domed cover

Condition

The ewer and cover are both in very good condition with the exception of some fritting to the cover finial, a tiny frit to the top of the spout, a slight lean to the handle, kiln grit adhered around the interior of the footring, and minor glaze firing imperfections and glaze scratches.
