Description

each body with deep rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot to an everted rim, decorated around the exterior with five large iron-red phoenix medallions and a single one to the interior, all reserved on a pale even celadon-green glaze thinning to white at the rim, the base glazed white with an underglaze blue six-character seal mark

Condition

The pair of bowls are in very good condition. There are only 2 very short and shallow firing lines, each of around 0.2cm at the bottom of one bowl, where a vertical dark line of speckles of 0.4x0.1cm under the glaze is right beneath the mouth rim
