Description

the globular body rising from a short spreading foot to a tall cylindrical neck with everted rim, brightly painted in rich cobalt-blue tones with a pair of Buddhist lions playing with a ribbon-tied ball, all below a peony and cash-diaper collar at the shoulder and a sinuous chilong curling around the neck

Condition

The vase is in very good condition with the exception of minor firing imperfections including a shallow 2cm., depression to the side of the footring, burst bubbles, iron-spots and minor glaze scratches.
