Description
- Ceramic
of tapering oviform with waisted neck and flaring rim, painted with petal-form panels enclosing various scenes of scholars and ladies within interiors or in gardens and landscapes, on a diaper and lattice ground, with a band of leaf-shaped panels enlcosing foliage at the neck and above the foot

Condition
This large and impressive vase is in good overall condition with the exception of a 15 x 30mm., drilled hole to the lower body and an associated 10 x 15mm., flake, a 14cm., long hairline firing line to the underside of the neck (partially visible as a dark line on the exterior of the neck), a 20cm., long four-pointed hairline glaze star crack to the shoulder at the interior (not visible externally), heravy frtiiting at the rim, minor glaze firing imperfections including burst glaze bubbles and glaze pulls and glaze scratches.
