Description

the slightly spreading foot rising to a rounded body, tall tapering neck and vertical rim, painted to each side with a rectangular panel of a qilin standing on a promontory amongst breaking waves, on a diaper ground, with a band of ruyi above the foot

Condition

The vase is in good overall condition with the exception of three short firing lines running over the footring (circa 2-3cm.), a light polish to the rim (approximately 8cm.), minor glaze firing imperfections including tiny frits, burst glaze bubbles and light glaze scratches.
