the beast realistically carved, standing four square with its head turned sharply to the left looking at the Western groom standing by its rear haunches, the stone of pale celadon tone with an area of the caramel skin to the upper carving

Condition

The carving is in very good condition. It should be noted that there are two narrow slightly un-even russet inclusions running down the front right leg of the elephant.
