the upper surface of the cover painted with a frontal five-claw dragon flying amongst cloud scrolls and flames, above a band of two striding dragons, pursuing flaming pearls, with a similar band to the side of the base

Condition

The box and the cover have both been broken and restored. The cover has a burst bubble (4mm diameter) to the centre of the upper surface and has numerous scratches to the glaze. There is also some pin hole size burst bubbles to the base and the cover and base are most likely a match.
