the rounded sides carved in relief with branch of flowering prunus, issuing from rockwork, below two mask ring handles, the domed cover surmounted with a flower-form finial

Private English collection, Bath.

Condition

The vase and cover are in good overall condition with the exception of: the vase; a 3mm., shallow chip to the side of the rim and two 2mm., wide shallow rim chips, a circa 8mm., polished chip to the side of the footring, a 2mm., wide chip to the side of the footring; the cover, a 2mm., shallow chip to the side of the rim, tiny nicks to the edge of the rim and an 8mm., wide bruise.
