Description

the deep rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot to an everted rim brightly decorated to the interior in red, green and yellow with a medallion enclosing figures in a landscape, encircled in the well by an undulating leafy floral scroll and wave band at the rim, the exterior with a floral scroll, the base with four-character mark Chen Wenxian Zao (made by Chen Wenxian)
Condition
The dish is in good condition with the exception of minor firing imperfections including two deep glaze pulls at the rim, a 2cm., wide glaze pull, slight warping to the rim, two flakes to the inner footring (40 and 15mm., wide) and light rubbing and wear to the red and green decoration.
