gouache on pith paper paintings depicting court figures on thrones, butterflies amongst flowers, pheasants, birds on branches, fish and ships, forty-eight leaves mounted in four albums, stamped Youqua Painter, Old Street No 34 to the front of three
Condition
The is a large V-shaped stain to the central area of one album, with damage (tears and/or silver fish) to three pages and minor damage to two. Another album (which includes the catalogue illustration) has three damaged paged and two with minor damage. Another album has a large stain across the top right corner of the pages and has three damaged pages and one with minor damage. The last album has five pages with damages to the corners, another with damage to the lower section and another two with damage to the lower and upper section. There is also a large stain to the right edge of most of the pages.
