each body of flattened double-gourd form supported on a simulated wood stand, the waist ribbon-tied, the upper lobe centred with a medallion enclosing a da character encircled by the wu fu, the lower lobe similarly decorated with a ji medallion and all reserved on a coral and gilt trellis diaper ground, surmounted by a large gilt bat, the reverse with a rectangular slot for suspension

Condition

These plaques are in fair condition: to one plaque there is restoration to the simulation wood base, small flakes and nibbles and rubbing and wear to the enamel of the raised edges, overall wear to the enamels; to both there is rubbing of the enamels and light surface scratches overall, wear to the gilt-painted decoration and tiny pitting to the gilt-painted 'da' characters.
