Description

  • Bronze
of slightly flaring cylindrical form rising from three short ruyi feet, finely cast around the exterior with a ba gua band between a landscape band enclosing deer at the base and ducks in flight at the rim, the base inscribed Hu Wenming zhi, the metal patinated to a warm chocolate brown tone

Condition

Apart from 2 casting holes on the side of the bronze vessel, the overall condition is quite good. The casting is crisp and the patina on the exterior is quite good. The interior shows signs of use with some light bronze corrosion.
