Description

  • 'Poissons': a pair of table lamps
  • each glass base etched 'R. LALIQUE, FRANCE'
  • glass and metal
  • 30cm. high by 30cm. diam.;
  • 11¾in., 11¾in.
clear and satinated glass, chrome-plated metal mount, shades and fish motif with faint pink staining, on rectangular base, with shade 'Larmes'

Condition

A pair of fine lamps. One metal base has been rechromed, the other metal parts polished and cleaned. The staining to the fishes with typical rubbing. One shade with an area of 2cm. that has been repolished possibly during manufacture. There are a couple of minor chips to lower rim. The same shade has scratches to the underside of the top where the piece is fixed to the base, and one chip to internal corner, however not distracting. The other shade with two or three minor chips to the lower rim of the shade. One screw holding finial replaced. Some minor scratches to underside of top. Not tested or guaranteed for electricity. These decorative lamps are ready for display.
