Condition

A rare and desirable model of good overall appearance. Ivory slightly more yellow than the catalogue illustration suggests. Minor old marks and scratches consistent with age and use. The small metal disc to the centre of the onyx dish (covering the thread holding the piece together) is slightly worn. Ivory is very slightly dirty but in good condition overall with faces, toes and fingers in good condition. In good condition overall and ready for display. Prospective purchasers are reminded that this lot contains ivory which may be subject to export and import restrictions. For example, it is illegal to import elephant ivory under 100 years old into the United States. Your attention is drawn to the Endangered Species section in the Guide for Prospective Buyers on page 114 of the printed catalogue or upon request to the department.
